A born collaborator, David Fung regularly appears on stage with renowned instrumentalists and vocalists.  Mr. Fung recorded an album of chamber works by Lawrence Dillon with violinist Danielle Belen on Naxos, Dialoghi with 'cellist Elinor Frey for Yarlung Records, and most recently, an album of violin and piano works by Strauss, Schubert, and Avner Dorman with violinist So Jin Kim for Genuin Classics.  In 2017, Mr. Fung will record works by Schnittke with violinist Francisco Fullana for Orchid Records and continues his relationship with the Argus Quartet with a recording of a new piano quintet by Christopher Theofanidis.  He is a frequent guest at chamber music festivals worldwide and was the winner of the Prize for Best Chamber Music at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Masters Competition in Tel Aviv.

He continues his partnership with violinist Chad Hoopes in 2017 and in recent years has also performed with violinists Timothy Fain, Caroline Goulding, Dennis Kim, Tessa Lark, Sarah McElravy, Geoff Nuttall, Julian Rachlin, violists Ettore Causa and Paul Coletti, cellists Ronald Leonard, Johannes Moser, Joshua Roman, Marcy Rosen, and vocalists Dashon Burton, Alexandra Deshorties, Michael Kelly, Daniel Moody, Sherezade Panthaki, and Amanda Roocroft.  He worked as a coach with the Yale Opera program and particularly enjoys art song repertoire.  Mr. Fung has also performed with renowned ensembles such as eighth blackbird, the Yale Baroque Ensemble, the Australia Ensemble, and is a principal member of the Manhattan Chamber Players.

Further collaborations have included performances with the concertmasters of the BBC Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, Danish National Chamber Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Lucerne Symphony, Maastricht Symphony, New York City Ballet, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Seoul Philharmonic, Taipei Symphony, Tampere Philharmonic, principal instrumentalists of the Metropolitan Opera, Miami City Ballet, Petruzzelli Theater, Saint Paul Chamber, and San Francisco Ballet Orchestras, and members of the Calder, Escher, Mendelssohn, St. Lawrence, and Vermeer Quartets, and Imani Winds.
